About The Event
An end to end, hands-on workshop that will teach you how to start a new garden from scratch using permaculture strategies and techniques. Topics of discussion: the maritime northwest climate and ecology, soil testing/evaluation and amendment, site selection, appropriate species selection, threats and mitigations, climate hacking, seeding, irrigation strategies, sheet mulching, solarizing, and much more. What to Bring: gloves, raingear, hat, water, snacks, favorite tools.
