Growing and Caring for Fruit Trees in The Maritime Northwest

In this workshop you’ll learn Permaculture and Master Gardener techniques to plant and equip your trees for a great start in life. We’ll prep a spot, plant a sapling, demonstrate top grafting and the creation of a multiple variety grafted apple tree, discuss rootstock characteristics, flowering periods, tree diseases, site selection, prep, planting, companion/guild planning, water regimen, fertilization and fungal partnering, pest prevention and management, pruning and training.
